As women, we carry so many roles—mother, daughter, friend, employee, leader, caregiver. Somewhere in the middle of all that responsibility, lies sneak in. Subtle thoughts that sound like truth because they have been playing on “repeat” in our minds for so long: “I’m not enough.” “It’s too late for me.” “If I don’t have it all together, I’m failing.”
Most of my life, I have battled these exact same thoughts and more. But here is the good news: God’s Word always cuts through the lies with freedom. Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).
Today, let’s expose some of the most common lies women believe—and replace them with God’s truth.
Lie #1: “I am not enough.”
So many women wrestle with feelings of inadequacy, comparing themselves to others and coming up short.
Truth: You are already enough in Christ.Ephesians 2:10 reminds us, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” You don’t have to strive to prove your worth—it’s already sealed by the One who created you. He Knew you before you were even formed in your mother’s womb.
Lie #2: “It’s too late for me.”
Maybe you’ve been through a divorce, a setback, or years of putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own. The enemy loves to convince women that their best years are behind them.
Truth: God redeems time. Joel 2:25 declares, “I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” No matter your age or stage, God can do a new thing in your life. He created you with a call on your life. You are never too old, too broken, or too far gone for Him to write a fresh chapter.
Lie #3: “I have to do it all on my own.”
Many of us carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, believing if we don’t make it happen, it won’t happen. Boy, can I testify to that. I grew up with such an independent spirit and never really trusting anyone.
Truth: You were never meant to carry it all. Matthew 11:28 says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” God designed us to live in His strength, not our own. Leaning on Him is not weakness—it’s wisdom.
Lie #4: “My past defines me.”
Shame is one of the enemy’s most powerful weapons. He reminds us of every mistake, hoping we’ll believe it disqualifies us from moving forward.
Truth: In Christ, you are made new.2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, she is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” Your past may shape your testimony, but it does not define your destiny.
Walking in Truth
The battle for your mind is real, but freedom is possible when you replace the lies with the Word of God. Every time a lie surfaces, speak the truth out loud. Write it down. Declare it.
The enemy knows that a woman who knows who she is in Christ is unstoppable. And that’s exactly who you are becoming—free, bold, and full of Kingdom purpose.
✨ Cheering you on as you evolve into the woman God created you to be.
